MATERIALS + DESIGN

We locally produce limited edition apparel using dead-stock fabrics. Our design process starts with the materials we have at hand. We transform designer ends, mill overruns, and factory closeouts into timeless quality garments.

Each garment is constructed to last with high-quality design standards that must be met. Fine details such as french seaming can be found throughout. We always consider practicality and wearability in our design. Our clothes are designed to make sense in a wardrobe season after season. We strive to create products that are friendly to our environment, people, and animals.

PRODUCTION

Our production is done locally in Los Angeles, CA. Our goal is to be ethically, socially, and environmentally responsible. We expect our business partners to do the same. We have built a solid base of family-run contractors and local craftsmen with whom we work and we love having conversations with them about ethical and environmentally friendly work practices.

From design, development, manufacturing to packaging- we strive to adopt the most sustainable options.

We are constantly working and thinking of ways to improve the sustainability of our production process, and will never stop asking ourselves, how can we do this better? What’s next? Suggestions are always welcome!

VINTAGE

We try to keep our prices within reach for most people by doing direct to consumer, adhering to ethical business practices, and not overproducing. Due to limited production runs, and paying our contractors fair wages, our prices can still be just out of reach for some. This is one of the reasons why we choose to carry curated vintage items available on our website at a reasonable price. We love vintage + ultimately it is one of the most sustainable ways to shop.

ENVIRONMENT

We care deeply about the planet and creating a business that gives back to nature. The fashion industry contribution to global warming is increasingly well-documented. It is not something that’s going to be solved easily or by one brand, but we are committed to engaging with this difficult subject and taking steps to lessen our impact, and take care of our earth for future generations by planting trees.

For this we have partnered with One Tree Planted, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to global reforestation. Their projects span the globe and are done in partnership with local communities and knowledgeable experts to create a positive impact for nature, people, and wildlife. Reforestation helps to rebuild forests after fires and floods, provide jobs for social impact, and restore biodiversity. Many projects have overlapping objectives, creating a combination of benefits that contribute to the UN's Sustainable Development Goals. To learn more, visit onetreeplanted.org
